Calling all students, faculty, principal investigators, early-stage companies, and entrepreneurs! Submit a topic and abstract of your work for a poster presentation at the Biotech 2009 Innovation Corridor. The Innovation Corridor offers you the opportunity to:

  • Showcase your cutting-edge research
  • Interact with the Mid-Atlantic region's top bioscience executives, companies, investors, and institutions
  • Receive feedback on your poster from a panel of experts in the areas of scientific, legal, business, and investment
  • Compete with other presenters to receive a one-on-one evaluation from the panel of experts
  • Receive a discounted rate for one presenter for just $100  - this includes participation in the Innovation Corridor and other Biotech 2009 sessions on the day of your poster presentation

The Biotech 2009 Innovation Corridor provides a unique opportunity for presenters to share their research, aimed at solving problems and addressing medical needs with industry leaders focused on key issues facing the bioscience industry. The objective of the session is to foster world-class collaborations among academia, early-stage research organizations, and industry.

Click here for the Poster Abstract Submission Form. The abstract submission deadline has been extended to October 14, 2009.

Click here for the Abstract Requirements and Poster Guidelines.

Topics:

The poster should describe your academic research or development efforts which could potentially provide solutions to  medical needs in the biosciences, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, device, and diagnostics. Poster abstracts should outline the problems the research or development addresses and, if possible, identify potential commercial markets.

"We presented two posters at the Biotech 2008 Innovation Corridor and received excellent feedback from the panel of judges on how to advance our technology. That input from the judges led to continued interactions with a venture capital group that is helping us move our technology from the lab and IP to commercialization."

Robert K. Prud’homme, Ph.D.
Professor of Chemical Engineering
Department of Chemical Engineering
Princeton University

Abstract Submission Procedure:

A panel of judges will conduct a peer-review of all submissions and determine acceptance into the Innovation Corridor. Your abstract may be published in a handout for Biotech 2009 even if it is not chosen to be presented as part of the Innovation Corridor.

Registration:

There will be a $100 registration fee for one presenter per poster if you are accepted to present. This registration fee has been offset by the generous support of AstraZeneca. This fee will allow you to participate in the Innovation Corridor and attend the full day's events only on the day that you are scheduled to present.
